Why We Do This

It starts with Jesus.
We love Him — and we believe He’s for everyone.
We want people in Ballito, in Shayamoya, and beyond to know and follow Him, because Jesus is the only one who saves, satisfies, and gives eternal life.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Christ Church Shayamoya (CCS)* — to stand with a local church bringing the good news of Jesus to their community.

How We Partner

Here’s how we come alongside CCS to help them live out the gospel and be a solid presence in their community:
  • Lightening the load so Lizo and the team can focus on leading, loving, and sharing the good news of Jesus
  • Backing CCS initiatives that build trust and gospel credibility in the community
  • Sharing our resources — time, skills, and finances — in ways that serve what they are doing on the ground

What You Can Do

Here are a few ways you can get stuck in:

Literacy Programme
Happens on Saturday mornings.
Come play with the kids, help them read English books, teach letter sounds, or just be present. Led by Leilani van der Merwe and part of building early learning and trust in the community.

Sewing Initiative
A space to build skills, create opportunity, and foster connection. We’re working toward this being CCS-led, open to the local community, and a bridge for gospel conversations.

ECD Partnership
A local-run early childhood development centre in Shayamoya. We're partnering with CCS to strengthen and support it. Book drives, resources, donations, and more.

You Can Also:
  • Share your skills or expertise if it could help CCS or the community
  • Give financially for needs beyond the regular budget
  • Join the WhatsApp group for updates, celebrations, fundraisers, and ways to get involved as needs come up
If you want to get involved, let us know.

*Christ Church Shayamoya is a small local church planted in 2012 in the Shayamoya community outside KwaDukuza. It was born out of a desire for people to hear about Jesus and learn about Him from His Word in their home language. The church is led by Lizo Mtshalala and his wife, Poppy. Senzo, who grew up in the church, is currently training for ministry at George Whitefield College in Cape Town.
